VAL DES BOIS RUN 2019

Good snow at hunt camp. I was out brushing another trail on Monday anticipating a run in February.. Easier to use the ATV at this point, but hard going on the hills.

One inch of rain today and 40 degrees f. Hope this doesnt land in Val des Bois.

We're getting the rain here also. The snow in Val Des Bois should survive, with a very good base. Turning nice and cold again for Christmas.

Good snow coverage in Val Des Bois. About 14 inches on top of a solid base. Jeannot and I got out yesterday and spent several hours breaking trail. The Tundra saved a lot of work, especially on hills. I'm learning that steep hill climbs through the trees, in deep snow is probably a job for a younger fellow. I don't want to break another bone before the run. Keep your tracks down.

More deep snow photos. A Colorado low dumped about 14'' of fresh powder on our groomed trails the night before the run. When we wandered off the packed trail , we were waist deep in snow.
