12/16/17 Back on the Snow Chat!

Post by Go Go Diablo » Sat Dec 16, 2017 11:48 am

Hi all,

I think most know that I had a hip replaced less than 3 weeks ago. Well, I'm here to tell you I was blessed with a miraculous recovery. Such in fact that today, I took a Diablo for a ride. Now mind you that it was only up and down the driveway to give the red devil just a bit of a test drive, but it felt good to be out behind the handlebars on some fresh snow. It will be a while before I can be out in the shop and even longer before I dare drive down the trails, but recovery has been quick and I'm looking forward to getting back to normal (whatever that is for any of us with this crazy hobby).

Happy holidays to you all if I don't hear from you between now and then.

Hi Bruce.

That's awesome to hear your recovering well. I'm sure your extremely happy and probably feels great to have gone for a ride on a Red Devil! I wish I lived closer; I'd stop in for a visit.

I've had the 200a and the 600 out for a few rides. I was out for a good ride last night but something just doesn't seem right with it. Not sure what's up with It. It is pretty cool and fun to be out Hus Sking thou.

Take care Bruce.

After a full week of -30C with a high not much better, we finally rode today in all this fresh snow.

You are so lucky. We don't have any snow, just cold in Manitoba. Drove the hus-ski about 300 yards about a month ago to check her out and that has been it. Waiting for snow. Jim

That looks like alot of fun Barrie. We are having another bad year for snow in southern Wisconsin. Going to have to travel 3/4 hrs. north to find some good snow to play in.
Maybe we will get some snow in Feb.
Bring on the snow

Snow is forcast for the weekend. This ride is 20 km long. 450 machines were there last year.

My front yard looks as icy as yours Barrie. I've been out to the hunt camp every second weekend and the snow conditions have been very good up there. They didn't get the sheet of ice we got here. I can't make it to the ride this weekend, but if anyone wants to do a ride in Val Des Bois in Feb. or early Mar. let me know and we can pick a date and set things up. Tell Finnigan I have some pictures and video of last year for him.

Looks like the weekend of Feb. 24th will be the one for a ride guys. Let me know if you can make it. Interest appears to be waning, so this will probably be the last organized run. One day runs are always another option. Thanks .
