My New to Me Diablo
Hi everyone. I picked up 1 of the 2 Diablo's this past weekend that I was lucky enough to find in my area. 1 is complete, the other doesn't have the sled with it. This one is a 502, serial # 21383 , I will enjoy restoring it. I have always wanted one of these machines way back when they first came out, but then I was just a teen, and I had only seen 1, it was a Hus-Ski. Didn't know "Red" ones even existed till I started to google them here lately. Here are some pics. As you can see, I am still in the process of finishing the inside of my garage.

Looks like an awesome restoration candidate! Nice and straight and very little rust.
We would enjoy if you kept us posted on your progress! Welcome to the Diablo Family,

Welcome to the forum Derek.
Your story sounds a little like mine. I too remembered the yellow ones as a young teen, didn't know the red ones existed. But, I tell you what. In a little over a year. I took my "destined for scrap" diablo rouge 500 to the hills of Val des Bois, Quebec. (check out the video's) Every miles i did brought a smile to my face. I say. Enjoy your restore, and document it. It makes great memories.
I wish you the same success as I got with mine.

I'm in a different camp. I saw a Diablo as a teenager. Bought a Hus Ski when I got out of the Army in '71. Gave it to my dad when I went back in the Army in'74. Then, 6 years ago, bought a diablo, and last year a Hus Ski.
