It was 95 degrees today and supposed to hit 110 degrees tomorrow. Good thing because I was tired of looking at all that snow. The last snow drift finally disappeared. I received a call yesterday about a 444 so I took one of mine apart to answer the question Ohhhh... how good the smell of rust, RESEASEALL and old gas is. I think this heat has given me the fevor to tear a 600 apart! Not that I really want to put it back together...just tear it apart as a statement. Hope everyone is having a great summer. Maybe I'll see you at the Ste. Jerome show at the end of September.

Re: 7/20/11 chat
Ah, relief today. The heat dome over the midwest has left and we are still at 90 today, but the humidity dropped like a rock and it is far more comfortable outside.
I too am anxious for a fall and soon to follow winter. My addition to the shop is almost complete and August will bring Diablo restorations and repairs.
What is everyone else up to this summer?

Hello from Horicon, WI to all. What a long week in the shop at work. Renee & I have been spending most weekends at our cabin in the Wisconsin Rapids area. We really enjoy just being there. I haven't been working on much in my shop, I have a ongoing project with a John Deere snowmobile that I have to get finished this year, then I can move onto getting another of my Diablos in good working shape.
Enjoy whats left of our summer, Think snow.

Hi.
A friend of mine and I were out working on a sled and stripping it down to get ready for a restore. It was 104 outside that day. But we were under a tent with a fan and thinking snow and so it was fine. We are a sick bunch. HaHa!!

Tired of the heat and humidity. The deer flies have been and continue to be bad. Funny.....don't see them in Jan. Made a set of front bogie assemblies. Solid shaft/bogies with bearings. I hope they'll work when my originals wear out. One thing sure, my welding skills are in they're infancy stage. Helped Francois move some hus-skis and diablos last Mon. to his new home. He has accumulated quite a collection. New toy this spring in a Bushnell Trail Cam. Been having a lot of fun with that. Check out the pictures. Can't wait for winter!
