1/23/10 Engine Day

Hi all,

Rain today, more rain tomorrow. What we need is a little fresh snow!!!!!

Today was Engine Day at the shop. I tore apart three 54R Hirth Motors to get a look at the rods and cranks. Often the rods are wobbled out and the lower rod bearing is pitted up. To fix this, we need to look for Rod Kits consisting of Rods, Lower Rod Bearings and a Crank Pin.

I'm going to start looking around tonight. If anyone has any ideas where to look, put em down here if you would please.

On other news, Antigo is only a few weeks off. I'm hearing from a number of people who are planning to attend. That will be great fun. Tonight, I have what we think is the final version of the Hus Ski / Diablo DVD to review. If all is good, I should have the copies in 2 weeks.

I got a guy not to far from me said that he has one new rod with 2 lower spacer washers new pin & lower cage (without the rollers) asking 60.00 + Shipping.
