12/12/09 First Report of the Season - Diablo on the Snow!

Post by Go Go Diablo » Sat Dec 12, 2009 4:48 pm

Hi all,

Bill S from Hamilton, Michigan sent in the first photo of the season of a Diablo or Hus Ski on the fresh snow! Bill has been putting a face lift on the Diablo 500 the last few months and took it out on her maiden voyage today. He was so excited, he called me up and could hardly control himself.

Anybody else get theirs out in the snow?

Hi all

With a bit of snow that we had i took the 444 for a ride around the house a few times today. It felt pretty good. But I still prefer the 200A . Next week I'll be bying the trail pass for the 200A at a cost of $125.00

Take Care

I had my 444 out today. I use a GPS as an odometer, I put over 8 miles on it. I'm not done restoring the sleigh yet, so I used one from a different machine. The rack on the back in place of the backrest is for a 2 gallon gas can for the long rides.

Hey cool carry rack on the back of that 444! fired up my little 200-A today. Sat all Summer and Fall. Did not want to fire at first. Put a new NGK A-7 plug in it and a couple short blasts of Gumout carb and choke cleaner down its throat and it started right up! Had to keep working the throttle as it warmed up and had to turn up idle speed screw a little to get it to keep running on its own. Took the old dog for a couple walks around the back yard and shut her down. Running without a muffler for now-whoops-my bad!
