Hus ski 600 s/n location
Hi All,
I leave this question open to all Hus ski owners, but it may come down to Barrie with the info. I am in the process of acquiring a 65 Hus ski 600 (twin track not single). Does anyone know where the serial number is or was on this model? I am thinking that the serial number for this model should be 60---.

Yes, it should read 60---- but strange things happen sometimes. You should find it on the dash decal, in a small clear window just like the 200-A. Also like the 200-A, water penetrates the decal and swells the paper on which the serial number is printed, then it get destroyed.

Thanks Barrie. I am not familiar with any of the Hus ski models so I am not sure what kinda of a decal should be found. Would there be a hidden one someplace? The dash may have been repainted.

Only the 444 has a serial number which is hidden from view. All others are located on the dash decal. If the dash decal has been painted over, then you can remove the paint without damaging the serial number because it is not printed on the decal but on a piece of thick paper which is stuck behind the decal within the size of the clear window designed for this purpose.

Does someone have a picture of a 600 with a good dash decal that they can point out where the serial number would be on it?
Too many Diablos and parts to count.

Good photo of the 600 dash. The serial number is in the rectangular box below the pull cord handle.

Thanks Guys. May have to put on the PI hat and do somedetective work to determine the s/n for this unit.
Barrie, this is the 3rd pic I have seen of a 600 showing both the brake and throttle handles on the right side. Do you know if they ever came with the usual configuration, that is one on the right and the other on the left?

Rock,
Thanks for the picture. That really helps to understand what this dash should look like. This 600 came with a handle bar and the handles on each side like Ken has mentioned. But I notice that there are two holes on the right side of the dash like in your photo which tells me maybe the handle bar was remade and not original.
I am too interested in handle configuration on the 600's. Are they all both on the right side or where there some made with handles on both sides?
