4/16/17 Happy Easter Chat with a side of loader

Hi Everyone,

This is certainly the time of year when the chatter slows down here on the Diablo / Hus Ski Forum. I'm always amazed when the weather starts to warm and the snow melts, most people's attention (including mine) turn toward other priorities. The sun feels good in my shop as the concrete starts to warm back up and the sun is out later in the evening.

So with that, I wanted to wish everyone a great Easter. Hope you were blessed with family gathering and the peace the season brings.

This summer, I will be focusing on something other than Diablos for the first time in a very long time. I've always wanted a backhoe, but have you ever priced this equipment? Holy Wha? Around the house and the shop, I have literally a hundred tree stumps that I would like removed. Add to that an endless amount of road work and other opportunities for improvement up at the cabin. Instead of renting or hiring out the work, I finally decided to pull the trigger on what looks like a nice older Case that needs some engine work.

If you don't hear much from me, you can bet I'll be under the hood working on this while the weather is warm. Happy Summer to ya all!

A motor rebuild = $2,200
Injector pump rebuild with new injectors = $1,500
Pulling stumps and digging holes with your own backhoe = Priceless

Hi Bruce, Looks like you have your work cut out for you until the snow flies. So happy to see you added some yellow and black into your red collection. Don't work to hard and have a great summer.
Bring on the snow

I'm just testing the water in owning something yellow and black. We will see how the relationship goes. :D

Thanks Randy!

Just a quick update that the motor went back in the loader this past week/weekend. Started her up Saturday and finished with re-torqing the head today and put on some finishing touches.

If anyone is looking for me, I'll be out digging up stumps!
