In this forum I remember someone showing the differences in the fender from a 400 to I beleive a 444 and the 400 had an extra peice spotwelded on the underneath of the fender along the sides I think this would stiffen fender I wish I would have did this to mine before welding it on but I think it will still work ok

The 400 has an extra v strip welded under the pan along each side.. inline with the top bead...Have not see that on the 444s

Well just when you think you are done!The one thing driving me nuts was I could not find the rubber cover for the kill button on the motor of my Hus Ski 444.My buddy Andre found this we put it on folded inside out and a dab of clear silicone and BAM !!!!That was i fit great looks original.I will take a pic of it on this week end as it will be at a local show.But this is the part number and the part is a Briggs and Stratton primer bulb.Briggs #494408 ESF # 137-061
