Hi Dave,

Nice to hear from you. Hope the tune up on the ticker goes well.

I've been sitting here sorting through all the documentation I have. It's not everything there is out there, but before I started my rebuild, I would have paid much more for a packet of documentation. One thing I seen tonight is I always was told our Hirth motors were 54R4. Now I see in the recent stuff I got that it lists 54R3 for all the models. Ken from Winnipeg got Hirth to send me all three parts breakdowns for the 54R, so no matter, we have what we need.

That sounds great. The patchs are in the works, got a email this morning. I'm waiting to see a email photo to forward to you, should be coming soon. You didn't get any lens or belt info in with all that ebay stuff did you??

Nothing there, but a guy told me he has the information where to get the Saylers 1016M from Canada that will work for Diablos. I've seen several running them, but no one knew where to get them. When I know, everyone will know.

One thing it seems by this documentation, is that if the 502 motor is the same as the 503 motor, the piston you need should be a standard size. Based on the diameter you gave me several months ago, it should be a standard 75mm bore. I might have the piston you need. I bought it last week on ebay thinking I could use it sometime.

That would be great, I'd hate to tear down a "doner" motor to find the piston wouldn't fit. I have been so busy at work I haven't had a chance to even look at them. I'd like to see if my latest Diablo would run with some fuel down the plug, but haven't had the time. I'm checking out, we'll talk later.

BOTTOMS UP!!! :D
