10/10/10 First Start of the Season

10/10/10 - Is that good luck or bad 
It was a warm autumn day in Wisconsin today. Mid 70's and sunny. I worked at the shop all day today. Half the day was making components for new mufflers. I'll be assembling mufflers of the Diablo 503 design and they can be used with all Diablos when complete. I suspect it will be several weeks before they are ready. If you need one, let me know.
Also did a little work on restorations. That process is going slow as other priorities keep jumping in front of them.
What I did get done this afternoon is checked over a pretty nice original 503 and started it up. The first blue smoke of the season entered the shop and the rev of that powerhouse Hirth engine. If there had been snow outside, it would have been the first ride of the season too.
