Hi all

Yesterday got my other 500. Today I started to take it apart. It took me about 4 hours. The only thing left to do is take those front sprockets out. I think this will be a challenge. It's so rusted that I'm having trouble with it. Not sure how I will take them out but will find away to do it.

Rock,

This is how I get those sprockets off. I remove the gearbox with the shaft and sprockets still on. Soak the shafts down good for a day to two with penetrating oil. Then put the shafts in a press. Be sure to support the underside of the sprocket with a plate (don't push on the bearing retainer behind the sprocket). I use a bearing puller plate to support the sprocket. Then press down and "Pop", off they come.
