Hi all,

Here it is the middle of summer already. Wanted to toss out a Happy Independence Day Chat to all my fellow Hus Ski and Diablo Friends. What's everyone been up to this summer?

For me since the end of May, I've been working on an addition to the shop. I am to a point now where I'll start the drywalling today and hope to be done in a few weeks. Then, it's back to getting some Diablo restorations back on the burner. Some of my projects this fall include 1) To restore a Diablo 500 using an updated NOS chassis with all the bogies, a NOS hood and NOS handlebars. 2) Finish a Diablo 502 restoration that another started. This Diablo was painted the wrong shade of red and is complete on the bottom but has none of the top components like engine, tank, dash and such. 3)Restore a Diablo 503 for my trail sled this year.

That's about it for me, but what have you all been up to? Looking forward to hearing back from you all !

I meant to post a Happy July 1 st chat and wish a Great Canada Day celebration for everyone but 'll have to settle for the 4th of July chat. Certainly don't forget that country to the north, the one that gets blamed for all the snowfall and cold weather but should be remembered for the invention of the HUS-SKI. (who knew I was going in that direction????)

Hi Bruce and Barrie, Happy 1st and 4th ! Well, like most people down here, we blew a lot of S#!* up this past weekend ! LOL! I have been ripping up some rough sawn Maple into blanks for Hus-Ski sliders and cleats. I wish I lived closer so I could come work in/on the workshop with you.

As I wrote the "4th of July Chat" I was thinking fondly about my Canadian Friends. Although the 4th is a USA celebration, I consider it a great opportunity to salute all nations that are free and know that we are that way only with the help of other civilized nations like our friends in Canada.

I also thank them for the creation of the Hus Ski.
