Conditions for the run were near perfect on Sunday. Great turnout. After over a foot of snow last week the mercury climbed to 7C / 45F. The melt down was on, but made for one of the best rides ever. The ride now runs on land , after crossing the Ottawa River and has stretched out to about 40K /25 miles. At the end of our 3 hour trip, gloves were off and coats open. My daughter insisted on coming, even though she is 8 months pregnant. We avoided any rough areas and took our time. Only one diablo (me) and one hus-ski (Jeannot) made the run, but we completed the round trip, passing many downed machines along the route. The machines were laboring in the wet snow and heat towards the end, but vapor-lock only gave me trouble when loading the diablo. I had to pump the needle off the seat to start it. Thanks Mike O'Reilly and all the volunteers for your hard work. Looking forward to the next ride. Here are a couple of pictures.

Roy and Jeannot
Wish I could have been there with yous, I had to get things ready for our set up at the E. Y. Center for the Boat show. We worked 9 hours yesterday (holiday) and This morning were gogogo at 5 AM. "Crazy hours for me this boat show" One of these days I'll make the run.
Nice to see you had a good trip. and the warm weather didn't make things worst.
