Also, I just put some slides on my 444 and I copied them from a 200a, are they the same? Or is the 444 suppose to be thinner? They are already on so I guess I am just wondering if I am going to be fine with that. Thanks for any info.

The bolt hole should be in the center of the slider. HUS-SKI would have had no reason the change the dimension of the sliders. I am 100% positive that all sliders were the same dimension. All dimensions of the undercarraige for the 200,200-A,400,600 double track and 444 are the same. The thickness of the slider is important since if it is too thin, then you have the problem I had last winter with the two metal supports at the front cog, wearing off the rivets causing the cleats to come off. I will draw a plan of the slider and post it here.

I fabbed a couple of sliders for my 444 last week using oak that I salvaged from a kitchen renovation that I am doing. On the old ones, they were thin enough that the bolts holding them on were sticking out and wearing away at the cross-bars.
I also got enough oak to produce a bunch of cross-bars (cleats) for the track.
I kind of went with what worked for the sliders, and it got me to Quyon, QC and back, but, Barry if you could post the proper dimesions (particularly thickness) for the sliders that would be great.
Thanks,
Mike

The sliders are 28-1/2"" (29" also works) by 2" wide and 1-1/4" thick. They should be installed as close as possible to the front cog...as little as 1/8" since the front cog never changes position relative to the slider. The rear edge should be far enough back to allow the rear sprocket to be fully retracted. New belting requires the full tightening distance to put on the belting.

How do the dimensions I posted compare to the OEM part?

Yours is a second generation slider as the first ones were flat. The curve was added to make steering easier.
