Hi all,

Bruce A from up in British Columbia has to remake his handlebars for his 444 reconstruction. He emailed me and asked

"I will need to repair mine by welding in pieces. Could you please let me know what angle from horizontal the bars tip up towards the driver."

Could someone share some pictures and dimensions?

Thanks,

Bruce

I have a sketch with dimensions and angles but it won't reduce for uploading. Can I fax it to anyone?

With the hinge rod as a point of reference, there is a section of pipe 16" long which slopes up 3 degrees before the bend for the handlebars. The handlebar bend is 13.5 degrees and the pipe is 12 " long. This description is from a side view. The 12" length includes the lateral bend for the handlebar. The handlebar should be 30" from the floor with the tracks installed. Hope this helps, pending the submission of the sketch I sent to Rock.
