HUS-SKI SNOW FENDER/ BELLY PAN DIFFERENCES

Post by RONOUE » Sun Jan 24, 2010 6:59 pm

We are restoring 3 more hus-ski.... 200a 400 444 all apart at same time...took many photos there are no diff in belly pans of 200a 400 or 444 as far as size. onlly that 444 are full the others are 3/4 +1/4 2 pc The 400 is diiferent & has reinforced beads on each side from the factory. it is a 1" wide beaded strip of sheet metal underneath the belly pan exactly opposite the outer top beads. there are 10 or differences in the subframe assy in the bracing. Some features on the motor sub frame that is welded to the belly apron top of the 400. The of course the difference in witdth of this moter sub fram from the 200 to the 400/444. would post the pictures if people want. Ron

Hi Ron. I assume you are talking about the tightening bolts which you find on the base of the 400. A photo of these would be great. Don't forget to choose your prize.

Keep the prize till I meet up with the great one. Did that guy Melvin Deroisier from just across the border from me ever get a Diablo Motor? He popped in my office last week. he is really excited about his diablo's. I found a Diablo running for $400 down state. Suppose to get picture. Would buy it but from what I am seeing between you and bruce thay are a &8#$@ to work on in the chaincase & bogie area if they are in poor shape. Too many moving parts! Will stick to easy, to rebuild hus-ski for now. The Diablo will stay parked. Plus yellow paint is cheaper anyway.
