Bolens Diablo Rouge and Hus Ski Discussion Forums

I'm in the process of dismantling my 444 so I can get it cleaned up and do a bunch of maintenance on it so that it's a solid runner. Does anyone have any tips on how to remove the handle from the end of the pull cord (pull cable)? I would like to get it off without ruining it as I believe it's the original handle. Here's a pic for reference:

Well for anyone else that runs into this issue here's the solution: the pull cable passes up through the handle, then through a small brass washer, and then back into the handle. When pulled taught the washer is pulled into the opening on the top of the handle and wedges the cable loop in place.
