Hello, I'm a proud new owner of a 1965 Bolens Huski 444. Looking for some advice on reupholstering the seat. I have the original material and padding. Haven't decided to take this on myself or have it professionally done. Also looking for a hood latch. Any suggestions where to find one. Thanks for your time.

For a hood latch, I used one for a 1930-31 Ford Model A. These were as close as I could find. The 1928-29 Model A latches are a little different as they have 3 bolt holes instead of 2. Here is a link. http://www.snydersantiqueauto.com/hood-handle-990 Otherwise Google them and you can find many. The only problem that I found with these is that the "hook" part of it that goes through the hole in the hood, seems to be a little shorter. The first one that I used would pop open once in a while. I fixed it by welding a little more metal on the end of the hook and then sanding it down. I have 2 in use now with the modification and they work good. If you don't plan on driving your machine much, it probably won't be a problem.

I always have the two hole model in stock. I buy them from the same company which used to supply HUS-SKI. $10

If I would have known this, I would have gotten them from you.

Thanks for the info. and time guys. I'm ordering the hood latch up from Barrie and took the seat in to be professionally redone. Thanks again.
