I just became the owner of a 200a with the JLO engine. (Sorry Bruce, the Diablo is not quite ready for the trails)
The small sticker next to the gas filling cap suggests a mixture of 1:25 using 40 weight engine oil. This baby smokes like crazy with this mixture. Do I have to use 40 weight oil? Or can I safely use a two-cyle oil mixture of say 1:40? I'm sure there are quite a few of you out there using an alternative fuel mixture that's working well.
A small engine mechanic locally suggested using a mineral oil based two cycle mixture.
Let me know what you are using.

Re: Hus-ski 200a Gas Mixing Recommendation
There is a snow discussion regarding this in the questions and answers for the Diablo Rouge.

Re: Hus-ski 200a Gas Mixing Recommendation
Thank you for this, and Barrie was also in touch with Barrie, the Hus-Ski guru who said, "Today I use 28:1 with a snowmobile oil for 2 cycle engines. I find 40:1 too little oil but I know of some guys all the way to 50:1"
Re: Hus-ski 200a Gas Mixing Recommendation
I USE A 32:1 MIXTURE WITH CASTROL 2 CYCLE OIL AND HAVE HAD THE HUS-SKI FOR OVER 30 YEARS AND IT STILL RUNS FINE.IT SMOKES A LITTLE, BUT RICH IS BETTER THAN LEAN. HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERY ONE.
