I have one clutch where the movable sheave spins freely on the post and several other which do not. Which is correct?

I beleive it's bad when they spin on the post. Pretty sure they are both to be in the fixed position, I had one like that also but just replaced it with another I had on the shelf. Ran like new after I replaced the clutch

That is what I figured but there is no keyway or anything else to keep it from spinning. What keeps it from spinning? The clutches which don't spin don't come apart ( at least not without using the large hammer!!) and the parts manual doesn't indicate anything in there. HUS-SKI salsubry clutches have a key.

If you have a clutch half spinning, that is not right. That is presuming you have the right clutches for your Diablo. If you want, post a picture and point out what is spinning. If it's easier, shoot it to me in an email. Then I can tell you what might be going on.
