bogie wheel bushing size
Post

Hi guys.
Quick question. On a 502, what hose size should I buy for the idler boogie pivot pins?
I measured my good one at 3/4 OD and 3/8 ID. 2 PLY.
If that is right, what type of hose is it? Hydraulic, air brake lines, shop air line? what type is it?
Thanks
Jesse

I use old shop air line. I change them every year to keep things snug. Haven't come across anything more durable yet.

this is my two cents worth... What I used on diablos in the past which I found to be quite durable and pliable. Gates Hydraulic hose #3220. 10 mm 3/8" diameter. It is a CGA type I with a max working pressure 350 psi . here is another # on the hose that is printed on: C02074 S1483. This is not a steel reinforced hose so it won't cause damage to any other parts. I found it be a really good size match and like I said, quite durable. I have had this piece for quite a long time so not sure it is still available but with the above info and specs, you could check and see. I will include a couple of photos.
