Bought a Diablo 502 and the motor was bad so I thought why not put a Honda in there. Reliable and fun to drive without the worries of a 50yo hirth. So here it is. And btw I am no altering any of the oem on the machine. Need to make new handle bars yet so the hood closes correctly.

what motor did you end up using and finished pictures ?

I'd love to see some pics of the finished product and any mods you had to make to squeeze that thing in. I'd thought about repowering one with a Predator, which they're all just clones of Hondas, if I ever got a second one.

used a honda gx390. I bent up new bars and did a tube motor mount which mounts from the bottom instead of the top but decided to plasma cut a new torsion box motor mount which I am working on now so rebuild is on again. will post pics again as I get more progress. I scratched the electric fuel pump in lieu of a pulse pump but still have electric start. We are suppose to get some snow starting in a hour but not enough to play in.

thats gonna be a great set up if its got the power, that honda is just under 12 horse im curious to see how it does. keep us posted for sure i might go that route to

Many HUS-SKIs have been fitted with a Honda but this is the first ive seen in a Diablo. Great job and effort. We want to hear how it performs.

I have seen a couple of Diablos converted to Hondas. One was a 503 and the other one a 502. I saw both of them for sale at different times. I too am very interested to see how a Diablo will perform with a Honda engine. This is a picture of a 502 that was for sale - I saved off the internet. It is from a year or so ago?? I didn't save a photo of the 503.
