Beware of Hazardous materials

Although common in any workshop, steel wool is a dangerous material. It will burn like paper when given the chance. The attached photo is of a bundle of 0000 steel wool I use to clean up aluminum and other miscellaneous parts during a restoration. This bundle was on my workbench as I used a cut off wheel to cut metal. The sparks landed on the steel wool and started to smoulder, never igniting. The big issue of this story is that I didn't notice the smouldering steel wool and only found this result the next day!!!! I thank the snowmobile Gods that were watching over my machines that night. This came close to looking for another whole collection plus building a workshop and equiping it again.
