It is starting to seem each time you follow up its going to be an adventure!Well we pull in and do the meet and greet and the old fellow takes us towards the shed where the machine was to be behind and it was.About a MILE I would say behind the shed and wood pile! The suspense was killing me then he says there it is??????In the tall grass but its red?? I say. That ain't no red he says thats yella (I know yellow, he said YELLA!!)Hey he said he was 84 his memory was great his vision well ???????So we try to back into the field after 3 days of rain and all went well until we tried to leave who would of thunk a Chev Tahoe could weight that much?Anyway its home its Red not Yellow, but all the things i need to build my original Diablo 500 that got me hooked on these machines to start with.I have bought worse for more so here are the pictures.

Sean I will try later pics wont load right now????

Few more Diablo 500 pics.It only has two bumper braces thus making it an early model. This paper work and cool envelope came with it.This unit came from the USA and when i went to bring it across i declared what i had (plus two frozen turkeys) they told me to pull in everyone came out too see this thing? After a few laughs they told me to stop waisting there time and GET!No taxes no papers i did not have an ownership and i was told to GET. So i wasted no time in GETTING! I was gone.

Sean, that is a high serial number to find a 2 bumper bracket design on. Make me wonder if my interpretation of the early 2 bracket design might be wrong.

I've always assumed that sometime during the 66' production year of the 67' Diablo, the engineers figured out they did not have enough bumper support and made the change to the bumper bracket design mid way through the year. What might make more sense is after it was out on the trail in 67', Bolens offered an update kit to shorten the nose tin and add the bumper brackets.

?????

Thanks for sharing.

Bruce
