I have just received some vintage Manuals, Boucher, Warranty cards,PDI, and in the Bolens operating guide it says"The ski seater spring is shipped in the luggage compartment of the unit.Fasteners are packed in a cloth bag containing tool kit and shipped in the luggage compartment"The address on the bag is 91 ,Boul ,Hymus,Point-Claire,Quebec.So i guess that confirms the bag story!

I FOUND THE SAME BAG ALTHOUGH NO TOOLS MINE WAS IN A 444 SEATER. IT WOULD BE INTERESTING TO KNOW WHAT WAS IN THE TOOL KIT.

reference to the "seater spring" is curious since there is no seater spring on a HUS-SKI but rather on a Diablo. Could this be in reference to a seater reinforcement kit which was necessary after the seaters that came with the Diablo model 500, suffered compression failures around where the seater spring is attached to the box?

I wrote the manual for the model 200-A and I think the spring refers to the circlip which held down the seat. I do not remember ever calling them a ski-seater. We always called the two units a tractor and a trailer.
