Can anyone here help me identify a eskimo snowmobile. I recently purchased 3 Merc trailtwisters and also a Eskimo. Any information as to what I may have is appreciated. I don't really have much information about it other than it has a twin cylinder JLO motor with electric start. Thanks for any help

avoiding the obvious joke about Eskimos and Huskies or HUS-SKIs I'll get right to the facts....Four models were offered in 1969 powered by a SACHS engine with 15 - 25 hp. The selling price was $795 to $1195US for the top model. The company moved the production from Ste Henedine Quebec to Pointe Claire Quebec (same town that made that famous HUS-SKI!!!) Eight models were then offered with Sachs and JLO engines The 440E with a JLO was electris start and 29 hp. It sold for $1195-$1295US. In 1970 the company was sold again and moved to Elmira, Ontario in 1971. 4500 machines were on order for 1971. In 1971, only the Sachs engine was used. Later in 1971, the company was sold to M & R Sales Inc of Wisconcin who offered only three models for 1972 powered with HIRTH engines. (they were probably bought all the left over engines from Bolens !!!) Only two models were offered in 1973 with the companies eventual closure after the 1973 season. Hope this helps. This information was translated from the book written by Pierre Pellerin called "Histiore de la Motoneige"

Thanks Barrie, I wasn't expecting quite that in depth of a explantion of there history, but it sure helps me narrow down what I have. There are no stickers i could see on the machine to help me identify it. All I have is a registration card that "says" it's a 1971. I'm not interested in keeping it, as it was a buy 3 or none deal I'd like to find someone that has a interest in these particular machines.
