Brand New Diablo

I was at a graduation reception last weekend and the topic of my Diablo 503 purchase and restoration was being discussed. One of my former neighbors who lays brick and stone told me that he was doing a job around 5 years ago and was invited to take a look at some "old snowmobiles" the customer had in storage. He claimed that his dad bought some leftover inventory from a dealer who quit the snomobile business around 1970. The claim is that these are brand new units that were never run. He couldn't remember exactly but he thought there were 2 or 3 Diablos.

My neighbor didn't think much of it at the time but when I told him about our Diablo/Huski insanity he said he would hunt the guy down to make certain that the Diablos are still there and let me know. But it would sure be neat to have a NOS Diablo in the garage.

I will let you know if anything still exists and if so, are they for sale.

This is as close to brand new that I have seen. This machine was cleaned but not restored. Note the new part sticker on the hinge frame.
