I am installing TIMKEN part #473237 as the oil seal in the chaincase cover. This seal is thicker than the original and has two lips to make the seal against the sprocket hub. This is a small difference from the originals but I hope it helps eliminate the oil leaking from around the hub. Each seal cost $9 CAN$

Re: chaincase oil seal
To day I cut the gasket for the chaincase from NAPA cork gasket part# JV121. It is 1/16" thick and very much like the original. A little bit of gasket sealer would be a good idea because of the lack of adequate pressure between the perimeter bolts to hold the gasket tight. On three of my chaincases, the weld holding the adjuster sprocket pin to the flat stock was protruding on the side thus preventing the flat stock to provide a seal when it is tightened in place. I ground these welds flat.
