I am buying a sheet of the expanded metal and will offer replacement grills to any one who wants one. I will cut them to size. They will be for the right or left side panel, hood scoop grill and light grill for any model.
Re: turning yellow
I got a question for ya Barrie, what are the dimensions for the slides on a 444? I have two slides from an old 200A but it looks like they are different. If not could you please let me know? Thanks man!

Re: turning yellow
The slides are the same for all models since the center to center distance never changes. If yours are not the same then one of them has been remade a different size. I make mine 2" wide x 1-3/8" thick x 28" long. This thickness comes nicely out of rough cut wood, 1-1/2" thick.

I bought the fender from Bruce. You should give him a call.

Re: turning yellow
Although not thought possible at first, I did manage to get two 444's in my truck.

Re: turning yellow
Lou had instructed that there was no need to do body work . After the sandblasting and finding all the brazing, I have left everything as it was. I am sure that MIG welding next the the brazing may cause more problems than relief. This is the epoxy primer ready for the "beautiful shade of Yellow"!!

Just a note on making the skids for any HUS-SKI....if you cut the bottom in a gentle curve it make it easier to steer on hard packed trail and crust conditions.

Re: turning yellow
After a week of camping in the rain I needed a moral boost and nothing better to do that than this shade of yellow. I lightly sand the primer to remove any dust particle, wipe clean and spray. I spray twice on the underside of each part then turn them over and spray the visible side twice. If I was spraying a 200-A I would do the bottom of the base twice, flip it over and do the top and handlebars each once. Then assemble the handlebars to the base and spray it altogether one more time. This ensures that the bolts and nuts are also yellow and any mishap while assemblng them is covered at least once. The hood could also be sprayed at this point, assembled to the handlebars, but proped open a bit to allow coverage along the bottom edges. In case you were going to ask ...the yellow is made by ICI, 8FL2yellow; code: ZYI 01
