I believe the machine is 210 HP stock from the factory but he has an adjustable computer and he can dial it up to 290 HP with $ 4 a litre racing fuel.
I don't know if he will take up your offer but I do know that the weekend he took delivery he let his friend ride it across about 200 or 300 meters of open water. Then his friend turned and rode back.
He knew that his friend would pay the $ 18,000 for the sled plus the added toys, plus the MNR fee and plus the cost of the divers to get the scrap out of the water.
I rode the machine on a trail ride last winter and it is wild. Craig studded the track after he bought it with special racing studs. He can tell you but I think it cost more than a model 200 just for the studs.
We went riding at xmas on a lake. I rode the 1100cc turbo 4/stroke. Any throttle lifts the skiis, 1/4 throttle lifts them about a foot.
On the return trip he saw people at their ice fishing shack and he went to the deep water side. I folllowed and I felt the back end drop at about 40 MPH. I could not remember the over water speed so I went up to 80 MPH. When I hit solid ice I was just hanging on.
Craig has a floater suit and a kevlar vest.
I am not sure if he will drag race this machine because the last time he drag raced his other souped up 1100 cc Arctic Cat he rolled it into a ball.
I know this is a Hus-Ski page and I hope I did not PO any one.
Ed

Well, I'm pretty sure no HUS-SKI or Diablo will be making the over water speed test....

Just a note to say that the 600 double track spot is full again in the VIP showcase.

Hi Ed, Yeah, I was just kidding about riding your son's machine, must be awesome on a big lake or straight trail. A friend of mine has a 1000 cc Ski-Doo Adrenaline. I rode it last year and I don't think I ever needed to even go 1/4 throttle. I guess having big power like that is a nice "safety feature" when you start busting through the Ice! Scary stuff, gives me the creeps. Barrie, got quite the visual of a Hus-Ski Mod doing a water cross!

I know Craig has a rule with his friends, if you can pay for it you can do anything you want. Bring a bank draft and you could have the thrill of a lifetime. :D

Devil Dog I hope you will still let me try your 7HP machine.
I have had a change of plans and I will be staying at the Red Pine Inn and attending the meet and greet on Friday night.

Hi Ed, I was serious about letting you try out my Hus-Skis, well, not so much about the Cat :) . I am looking forward to meeting a lot of people at this event, and riding in a big pack of Hus-Skis ! If my trip goes as planned, I hope to have enough time on Friday to park my trailer at Shawn and Tracy's and then check in at Red Pine and have plenty of time at meet and greet. Saturday is going to go by too fast I'm sure, Hope it's not minus 37 degrees F ! :|

Hi ,
I am so happy about going that I feel like I am going to meet the real Santa.
I can't believe how all of you have restored these machines.
I saw Barrie's collection about five years ago and I was very impressed.
See you on Feb.11 at the Red Pine.

Ed
