This is a beautiful restoration of a 444. I haven't seen this project on the forum before. I realize it has been done a few years back. There is so much info on this site that it is hard to see it all. I wish I would have found this when I was doing mine as I was also an amateur in doing my 444 .
I'm also looking for a rubber cover for the kill button. Hopefully this will help me.

Barrie,
I too am looking for one. Let me know how it is. Do you also have a lead on where I can find the kill switch. Would need one also.
Tks

I ordered the primer bulbs using the Briggs and Stratton #494408. I found a place on E-Bay and got 5 pcs.(black) for $7.95/free shipping in the U.S. Now I have a couple extra. They came last week , I tried one turning it inside out and it looks and works good. You have to watch what you order because they come in either red or black. The direct item number through E-Bay that I used was #322619887383. The company was rated very good.
