Re: 400 restoration project
Barrie - that 400 engine's flywheel that is missing all the cooling fins, I hope you are seriously not going to try and reuse that! As I see two probems. The first one that you mentioned is obvious - it is going to be very low on its cooling capacity without cooling fins. And secondly, the balance o...

Re: Hus Ski 444 Gas Tanks
Bruce its not a coincidence ! I believe Ariens is the parent Co of Gravely. I also think they own the Stens after market supplier.

Re: Hus Ski 444 VIN location
Hi Barrie Do I understand from your posting that you have a registry of everyone who owns a 444 and their VIN # ? I don't think you have a record of the 444s I own and have owned and their VIN # I do have my 444 vin #'s recorded so I could email them to you to add to your registry if you would like....

Re: First ride of the season
Hi Bruce and Barrie - I hope you get some snow soon so you have some snow to play on over the Christmas holidays. And if either of you ever want to come out riding in Alberta, you are always more than welcome to come out husski-ing and visiting anytime. The mountains here are just getting buried in ...

First ride of the season
Joan and I had an awesome day on the 444. Ran great, conditions were fantastic - clear blue sky, -4C and fresh snow. Doesn't get any better than that! ![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)

Two stroke oil
I was at my local auto parts store picking up some Castrol Super 2 stroke oil which is what I use in my Hus skis and Diablos and I think some other Hus ski enthusiasts use this in their machines. I picked up a case of this oil for work and when I unpacked it I realized that it had a different label ...

Re: Hus-Ski 200 quandry
After Bruce posting a picture, I clearly see your quandary now. Here is what I would do. I would start by carefully cutting out those 4 rusted square holes out using a small dye grinder cutting disk. Then using a mig welder, I would refabricate those two raised rails with same size material and then...

Re: 600 headlight
Hi With regards to a headlight, this is what I use...I use a General Electric 12 volt 35 watt part #4411 and it seems to work just fine for me. Another option that Would work is a Wagner 12 volt 35 watt part # 7400 Both these are sealed beam lights. As far as the bezels, I think some Artic Cat and o...
