Next 444 Project
Hi All So this is where I am at. I was going to start this project early last fall but did not get started until my Christmas break from work! I started by power washing everything to get the top layer of 50 year old grease, grime and dirt off of it. Next into the shop for a careful dismantling and ...

Re: Husski sports club
Yes I totally understand your hesitation and I get that some people are very protective of their private collections ! But I still had to ask because if you don't ask you will never know. However it is good to know that this information is out there and is in good hands and well preserved.

Re: Husski sports club
So Barrie, from the picture you posted, it definitely looks like there was a club! the Husski news - was it a monthly or annual newsletter? Does it say where it was from? is there a date on it? What are the chances of you getting a photocopy of that newsletter from your friend? I would love to read ...

Husski sports club
I have been curious about this topic for a long time and I hope maybe Husski Ed and/or Barrie or anyone else can tell us more about this topic. I was reading in the Husski owner's manual and the paragraph that congratulates you on the purchase of your new Husski goes on to say you now belong to the ...

Re: bogie wheel bushing size
this is my two cents worth... What I used on diablos in the past which I found to be quite durable and pliable. Gates Hydraulic hose #3220. 10 mm 3/8" diameter. It is a CGA type I with a max working pressure 350 psi . here is another # on the hose that is printed on: C02074 S1483. This is not a stee...

Re: 400 restoration project
I also mentioned about changing the condenser and then filing it down and installing and reswaging it. And also cleaning the body to make sure it had a good ground. After stating that, I thought I should do some research to back this up. So the photo with the literature explaining how to do this is ...

Re: 400 restoration project
Totally agree with you Barrie. The chances of moisture or dirt getting behind the flywheel and down onto the coil are slim to none but when I have it apart, I put that dust boot on it just as extra piece of mind plus I think that dust boot being so tight on coil and the wire it also helps to elimina...

Re: 400 restoration project
Good morning Barrie and Bruce. Just reading your posts and Bruce I agree with you on the chisel trick. I too use a very sharp small chisel aligning both parts very precisely. But this seems to me that this is just a good reference point if you know that is the right location for the timing plate. Eg...
