Front sprockets are made from hdpe plastic........same as the grousers. I cut them out of 1" thick sheet, bolted 2 together and finished shaping them with a coarse sander on an angle grinder. A labor of love but more accessible to me than casting aluminum.

Two trial runs showed promise and problems. Good news is it works as hoped. Wires to motors will need to be reversed since on the wheelchair, motors were mounted ahead of the axle. Hi All, Out here in rural Maine, I'm playing ostrich, spending a lot of time in the woods, boiling sap, cutting firewood and generally ignoring the news. What tool(s) has anyone used to make holes in the rubber belting? I have tried several different styles of drill bits without finding something that makes a clean hole. Because of modifications to the basic design, I am needing to make new tracks. Thanks for your input.

I new to this forum so perhaps this isn't the right place to ask......Where did you obtain the nylon (plastic) cleats? Those look to be a whole bunch more suitable for varied conditions than wood.
