Re: Model 500 sprocket replacement
Bruce, thanks for the info....it is exactly what I needed to get me going. Easier to understand than a lot of car and truck repair manuals I have seen! I am going to take pictures during the job, so I remember where everything came from...and where it goes back to. Hal

Model 500 sprocket replacement
I have searched high and low, and can't seem to find a manual for my Diablo Rouge model 500. I need to replace a stripped drive sprocket, and I guess I should replace all of them while I am there. But....... I could use an outline of how to proceed. I figure if I was able to replace the clutch on my...

Pics of my 'new' Hus-Skis
Here are some pictures of my new-to-me Hus-Skis....needing lots of love. The 444 is complete (The gas cap flew off on the way home). The 200 is missing the engine. The tracks on both are really rough. I have seen some 'before and after' pictures of rougher ones, so I guess there is hope. I will just...

Re: Source for track belting?
By the way, I just added the HUS-SKI text to the house with photoshop. It was late... Based on the color of the house, I should have put Diablo Rouge!

Re: Source for track belting?
They are about 4" long and 4" tall, and are lit by those little electric tea light candles. They are nice holiday decorations. Unfortunately those electric tea lights only last about 6 or 8 hours, and the disc batteries in them cost more at the store than the whole lights do! So much for being able ...

Re: Source for track belting?
I have a decent assortment of woodworking machines, and also a ShopBot CNC machine available to me. A friend has a belt lacing tool, so I am up for building them from scratch. I do a fair amount of mass producing 'tchotchkes', so I am actually looking forward to making multiple pieces. Any suggestio...

Source for track belting?
Well, after too many hours driving to see some 'decent' Hus-Skis for sale.....I came home with them....wondering what I got myself into. One is a 444, and one is a 200. The tracks are totally shot on both of them. Where is a good source to buy the rubber belting, to build a set of tracks? I hope the...

Re: My new 500 and "improved" sled.
I'll dig it out and post some pictures. Anybody have a spare ski seater they could part with in New England? If not, any drawings or scetches that could help me fabricate a usable frame would help. I have the original skis and steel 'spring' legs, just need the frame. Hal in CT
