8/19/09 Chat - The 503 is ready for the snow!

Hi all,

Summer is rapidly coming to a close. My oldest son is off to China Monday for a semester of being engulfed with Chinese Culture and Language. My younger son is off tomorrow to UW Steven's Point. My daughter is off in a week and a half to UW Eau Claire. Holy Cow, the house will be empty.

Hey Barrie, are you back from vacation yet! I want to hear how you turned red

Speaking of red, I've been working on this 503 for the past three weeks to get it trail ready and ready to sell. The 503 with the electric start is a thing of beauty. It starts right up and idles. How sweet that is.

Now that this little project is done, I need to get going on some restorations or I'll only have the 500 to drive next winter (unless I decide to keep the above 503, I'm growing quite attached to it)

3 or 4 suggestions have come in for the 3rd Annual Hus Ski / Diablo Get Together. They are all in Wisconsin and the UP of Michigan. Anyone else want to offer suggestions? Come on you Ohio Guys, now is the time to speak up!

On another note is anyone planning on attending the Waconia, MN show this year? Renee & I are heading up, as I have many JD sleds in my collecion. The hardest part is figuring which to take

Sorry Dave, the 503 sold in less than 24 hours to a fella in Ottawa. Actually, Pierre and I had been talking about a 503 sale for a while. So he had first dibbs on it and decided this was the Diablo for him.

You and I will keep in touch and see if we can work a deal on another 503 down the road. Thanks for asking.
