OK, sound like I have to send you a lot of stuff. Have you seen my other prototype with the chainsaw engine?

Yea, you have lots of stuff I'm interested in, but I suspect you have lots of people contacting you everyday asking for help and information. I keep track of the stuff you mention and if you don't get it to me, I just ask again. No problems.

Also, no I have not seen the unit with the chainsaw motor. I thought I read somewhere that these units were originally designed with a chainsaw engine that could be removed and used as a chainsaw. Is that correct?

They were desiogned that way but were never produced. The first production model was the SonwTraveller. The West Bend motor in it was about the size of a chainsaw and had the smae centrifical clutch. Only good if you were going full throttle. About 20 prototypes were made pre 1960 but they were essentially all the same.

Thats very interesting. So many details about these things I'd like to get put on the web site in some way in the future. Its stuff most people would never know.

OK - a good night to all. I've changed the homepage of the site to reflect our Diablo / Hus Ski get together on April 19 in Horicon, Wisconsin. I'm off for the evening and will be back in a day or two to talk more.

Thanks everyone.
