Chaincase OH

I had some play in my chain-case. I wasn't sure where the play was ,so I took it apart. Turned out to be just a little wear in the woodruff key on the lower gear. After 10 year of running, I decided to OH . New bearings and chain, not because they were needed, but just because I was in there. I also replaced the aluminum spacer at the top gear with a steel one and added a seal on the cover. They are held in place by an oil resistant sealant that is amazingly strong. We'll see how that works out. I also have some welding to do where the chain-case upper mounting bolt has worn into the steel. Note where the chain-case was rubbing on the post. That might explain what I thought was more vibration in the handle bars over the last couple of years. More minor repairs and maintenance to do before Port Washington in January. See you there.
