There were three Diablos on this ride. In this photo You can see the proud owners doing a little research and development after the morning ride.

Here are a couple more pictures of the weekend and some random thoughts. Jesse christened his 500 in deep snow, just minor front end damage. On the plus side, his power train purred right along all weekend. Jeannot's clutch blew up and made Barrie a very happy fellow. He used my Hus-ski Hauler to pull out Jeannot's 503. Sixties JLOs shouldn't start on the first pull in the morning. Jesse and Jeannot are looking for some kind of deep snow, upper body training program for Diablo riders. Great trip guys. Did we eat too much or what? Looking forward to the next ride. Oh Yeah, last picture is the Bolens prayer for no breakdowns in the bottom of Mclachan's Hole, lit up by Jesse's LED lights. Next year Jesse!

Indeed a great weekend with a great bunch of guys. Thanks Barrie for the tow in getting me out to the trailer. We Hus Ski guys need to stick together and I always am willing to make you smile. I need to add though, that I did get out of the bush to the road on my own , if that helps any.
I've never seen a clutch broken like that and will be posting pictures soon. Thanks Jeannie for all that food, I think I gained a few pounds. Roy, always fun to ride on those trails, so thanks again.
Jeannot.

Ok, here are some pictures of that clutch with the dome cover off. Some parts seem to be good and will be kept, but bottom line a need a new primary clutch for my 503. Anybody have one they want to part with?

Yikes Jeanot. You certainly grenaded that clutch.

I hope you find a replacement. You won't be able to fix that.

Mean while. Here's a little video to wet your wistle. I am working on a complete video of the entire rides, but for now look at Saturday afternoon ride. (bits of it)

I must say, My 500 sounds good on video. :D

OK, Here is my first attempt at a movie "video" I'm not perfect at it.

This is day 1. Friday afternoon and evening rides. I have a few of Saturday, and a long one of Sunday to come yet.

This is a resume of the time leading to my "Incident" with the noze of my machine. One thing is for sure, I didn't have a good grasp of running this devil in deep snow. (Roy and Barrie put me to the test the following day) More videos to come.

Enjoy Video 1 8-)

Here's video 2. It is uncut. This video is of the Saturday morning ride.

This Video is in HD. The quality should be better. I'm still learning the difference between HD quality and non HD quality. I guess my "Movie Maker" makes the video's in non HD.

Here try this: ;)

I was having some lean running conditions, I had to enrich the mixture for the afternoon rides.

Here's one more of the Saturday rides. The trails were much better. The condition was perfect. My 500 ran like a top.

Thanks Roy for having us over. :P We need to do this again. ;)

Enjoy:

Great stuff Jesse. Here's what I got of the run. Not much material. It's hard to handle the Diablo in deep snow, driving with one hand and filming with the other. I'm glad we had Barrie's hus-ski to break trail. In other years, I broke trails with snowshoes and the Diablo a day ahead. That was a work out.

Great Video Roy.

Yes, I'm glad we had Barrie too. I got to see first hand the difference between the Hus-ski 444 and the Diablo series.

I know, where we got stuck on the other side of the beaver dam, i would have gone trough no problem with my snow-bug. I really enjoyed myself. thanks again for having us.

Next year for sure!!!!! ;)
