Constance Bay Run

Post by Roy Teske » Mon Feb 16, 2015 7:17 pm

Another great run in Constance Bay on Sunday. Thanks Mike O'Reilly, all the volunteers, sponsors and the 616 Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion. Weather conditions thinned out the number of vintage sledders down to the toughest hard-core group, including my 110 lb daughter and many other ladies. The temperature was -25C with wind gusts of 60-70k and the best snow conditions I've ever seen for this run. My daughter and I made the run with the Diablo and our little Tundra. We switched on and off the two machines to stay warm. Much to be said in defense of windshields, closed face helmets and heated handle grips. Here are a few pictures, including the first prize winner in the 'Rat Sled" category. Yes. It made it the 35k to Quyon and back. Keep your tracks down. Roy

Those are some "brutal riding" conditions. Next Year for sure. We''ll test my Diablo. ;)
