Hi All,
Here in Wisconsin, we had good snow all through November. But then December was warm and rainy and like many of you, we had a brown Christmas. But mother nature smiled on us today with 3 inches and another 3 coming tonight. There is also rumblings that Finch is going to get some snow and that is looking good for the Get Together in two weeks.
On other thoughts, we are working on a 503 restoration in the shop for my buddy Rod and hope to have it on the snow here in January. It's that time to paint. My least favorite part of a restoration project.

Wow, Good job in the paint boot Bruce.
Yes it is true we got a lot of good snow yesterday and last night things went to ice and freezing rain. But right now it is just plain rain. And Heavy rain at that. I rarely see weather like this in these parts.
Hopefully someone closer to Finch will be able to confirm how much snow is actually on the ground, but here (1 1/2 hour West of Finch, we had 6 to 8 inches, but it is getting flattened down by the rain. This caused a layer of crust and with the overnight weather plummeting rapidly below freezing, it should give us a base that will be hard to melt.
Hopefully someone in "Gatineau" will chime in. Roy's closer to Finch than me.

I'm 2 hrs north east of finch. We had 4" last night but rain today. I was planning on riding this morning but the rain came too fast.

We got at least 6-7" here and then 1/4" of freezing rain. Probably more snow north of here. It's not going to melt or blow away this week either. Rode into our camp Saturday with my ATV. Last time for that. Finally, I can get out the snow machines. Roy.

I am 2 1/2 hours south west of Finch. Yesterday we had 4-5" with winds 40 to 60 m.p.h. Last night the temperature went above freezing and it rained all night and most of today. We lost our New Years snow and all of the snow from yesterday's storm.
Not good news.

Finally, we have enough snow to ride in Val Des Bois. Took the new tundra for it's test run and no problems. I now see why they put reverse on these machines. With the ski skins , it needs about a half acre to turn it around , not like the Diablo. But for breaking trail , it's an amazing little snowmobile. Next weekend it's a test run for the Diablo.
