Roy, thanks for posting, that is an excellent video. If you post more, could you add the links on this site? I check this site, but I'll never remember to check the youtube site.

I noticed that two of the Hus-skis had narrower than normal rewinds on them, do you know what kind of engine the rewinds are off of?

I'll let you know when I post more videos. Not sure which recoil they have adapted on a couple of those Hus-skis. Larry Gendron in Chalk River would be able to tell you. Barrie Graham would also know.

Roy: That looks like you had a lot of fun. I wish I could have been there. I probably would have gotten stuck. My 600 is a lot heavier. Jim

Your 600 would be a workout for sure, but it would have made it through I'm sure. I just finished posting last year's Val Des Bois Run on you tube. Small but enthusiastic group. Witness Barrie's harrowing descent of Suicide Hill and his dare-devil Hus-Ski jump. Go to " tesker53" or to this you tube link...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_eiBQESclo Enjoy. More to come. Roy.

That is a great video Roy. Some good footage and awesome scenery. You must be a powerful man driving your Diablo with one hand while shooting video with the other. We are going to have to pitch in and get you a helmet-cam!

Thanks for posting. You are a great supporter of the sport. Looking forward to seeing some 2014 shots!

So Barrie, any idea on the recoils? Thanks

The recoil is from the opposed cylinder engine that Bombardier made. It was an unpopular engine made for not too many years. The recoil is of a large diameter so make it easy to pull and it doesn't have the intricate dog and springs that the JLO has.

Posted the 2012 Constance Bay Run last night. We had four diablos and three hus-skis make the run on the Ottawa River to Quyon Que. and back. Got to meet Mr. Fred Fassbender at the start of the run. He worked for Bolens in the sixties. He couldn't believe we had restored and were riding our Diablos. The last video clip is one of my favorites. Hus-skies riding along the river with modern machines riding beside them, with the mountains on the Quebec side in the background. The link for you tube is..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3aY8yM30kok Hope you enjoy watching as much as we enjoyed the ride.
