Great group of skilled riders, perfect weather and snow conditions. New friends made, old friendships renewed and a story or two told . Thanks everyone who contributed to this super couple of days. Your appreciation makes the effort worthwhile. I have some good video and pictures to put together for a souvenir CD. Here are a couple of pictures of the group on the Val Des Bois ride.... now dubbed the "Hus-Ski/ Diablo Hustle". I'll post a couple more action shots soon, including "Jack Pine Monkey Off My Back " Mike, on his 68 Moto-ski. By the way, we got out just in time. It was -29C/-20F up there this am. That would have been hard on my shoulder.

Thank you to our fine host (Roy) and the rest of the group that showed up.

Of all the cool things we did and discussed over the few days, one thing that stuck with me the most was the fact that none of us new each other just a few short years ago and this website and forum has brought many of us together to enjoy our passion. The friendship is priceless.

With that, a few more pictures to share:

2 Hus Skis, 3 Diablos and 1 Motoski went out Monday and all came back without issue.

However, there was one opportunity to chuckle. Barrie's chain on the 444 came off. To put him to the test, we blind folded him, tied one hand behind his back, and threw all his tools out in the snow. I'll be darned if he still fixed that Hus Ski in less than a few minutes and then left our Diablos in the snow dust.

After Barrie's 444 took a hit, he drove my Diablo 500 around for a while. I had to wrestle him off it at one point! He kept saying "that Diablo sounds so cool, I just gotta have it!".

Why are those Diablo drivers so fast on the draw with their cameras??!!!! Probably because there are so few opportunities like those seen above that they have to be quick. We need not mention it took five Diablos to keep three going, even removing parts from one already in the "sick bay" to do a repair on another limping along on perhaps its last breathe.....There was one common thread at every rest stop on a hill, in a valley or on the lake where we stopped and discussed all the hot political topics of the day and that was that HUS-SKi riders turned their machines off with the confidence it will start again. The Diablo riders did so also, but always looked towards the heavens, did a few hail Mary's, then crossed their fingers when it came time to restart.
