headlight mounting on 444

On a 444 does the headlight mount directly on the grill or is there a bracket on the backside where it mounts to because the manual does not show how it is mounted.

Attached to the ring around the headlight are two threaded studs about 1" long. These pass thorugh the headlight chrome. The headlight is secured with nuts and washers.

Does anyone have an extra mounting ring like the one barrie is talking about? I put my new mesh in my hood but i am still missing that mounting ring and i dont think its gonna look that good if i just mount my headlight to the mesh.

The guy who makes our Hus Ski fenders made a few of those and sent them to Barrie.

It is another part I want to make but have not had the time to make the die. The ones I got were very good but not exactly the same shape as the originals. I still have one left.
