Hi all

I've been having trouble with my 200a this month. It keeps blowing plugs and i've lost some power on the motor. I was told that if i put to much oil with the gas it could loose some power. Not sure about this one. How much oil are you guys putting in a 5 gallon of gas?

I Had a problem startng my 444 this season. I think the carb and line had a lot of oil but not gas from sitting .Took the plug out, burned it off with a map gas torch, put it back in, put a shot of Gumout down the carb, fire once or twice, then nothing, did this many times. Took out a new plug finally. It it fired right away and ran great. Just for kicks, I put the original plug back in-Nothing, no fire! I have been running Yamalube at 24-1 mix as recomended by the Germans that made them. With today's crap gas, I think we need to drain last years fuel and mix fresh for today. I am not sure if high test may be better now? I have been putting regular in them so far. I am going to still run a heavy oil mix and buy a lot of spark plugs. I like blue smoke ! :)

Today took the plug out and it was black but still had fire on it. Change the plug and it ran a few seconds and stop. Fuel line had brown stuff in it so i had to emptie the gas line and now it's running pretty good. The only thing that i have trouble with is i can't make it run by it-self . i've played with the needles but still doing the same. WIll try again tomorrow

The burn on your plug should be brown. your mix is too rich. Try turning in the low speed slowly to the point where it starts to rev then open it up a bit.

It is easier to think ml and litres rather than ml and gallons. 250 ml oil in 8 litres of gas is 32:1 This is what I am mixing now. Very easy calculation. 250 ml in 10 litres is 40 :1 The mixture rates are also written on the label of the oil container.
