Yes..same sized pipe but not the same shape if the sleigh is from a 200. You should have a sleigh from a 200-A. You can see the difference between the two sleighs in the following pictures. The 200-A sleigh has the curved pipe like the 444 but is made with the small pipe.

The sleigh should have a pipe with a 1" OD. The original pipe was thin walled. You can have the same effect with thick walled pipe if you don't mind the extra weight. The thin walled pipe did fine until the handle bars came down on the pole with a heavy driver. This would sometimes bend the pole and probably why the later models had a " large pipe design".

Barrie,
I picked this up yesterday from the original owner. He thought he bought it new in December 1963.
It has the same clutch as both my 200s and a straight pipe sleigh.
Serial number 21006
Do you think he was mistaken about the year he bought it?

The serial nnumber indicates the 6th 200-A built. My opinion would be Dec 1964 because the 200-A was advertised with the 600 which was new for '65. The straight pipe sleigh could easily be a left over from the 200 models. Any 200 model tractor would easily be converted to a 200-A simply by bending the handlebars upwards. Very nice find!!!

Dan,

If you are building a sleigh, remember that we have new tool boxes available if it's more affordable than having someone bend them up trial and error style.

They are $110 and easy to install.
Too many Diablos and parts to count.
