track building

What tool(s) has anyone used to make holes in the rubber belting? I have tried several different styles of drill bits without finding something that makes a clean hole. Because of modifications to the basic design, I am needing to make new tracks. Thanks for your input.

Here is what I use. I bought it from a place that sells picks for sleds. I called it a rubber drill, somebody said it's not a drill but just a punch. Well, whatever you want to call it, it works good in a drill. This picture isn't the clearest, if need be, I can get a better pic of it.

A similar product is called a Flexco Power Punch. It goes in a 1/2 inch drill. It is a professional tool used for industrial belting repair. Check the Flexco web site. Jim
