600 clutch

Post by 1965 Hus-Ski » Sun Dec 09, 2018 8:18 pm

I was wondering about the secondary clutch on the 600’s that is hand adjustable. My quess is power or speed depending on where it’s set at ? Also does anybody have a measurement from the center of clutches ( primary to secondary)? I live in south central wi. So not much deep snow riding. Thanks.

By screwing the adjusting knob you creat more resistance for the secondary to open. This translates to higher engine revs to get the clutch to start opening. So yes....you loose some speed to get power. This is the same for the 200, 200-A and 400 which all have the same clutch.
