If you have an original inlet on the carb with the cork gasket...you might be suching air from there.

I try to shut the fuel tank valve off after each ride and that helps prevent air lock in line too. Just gotta remember to open it each time though. LOL. I have forgot to do that before !

As far as I can tell this is an original cork gasket, would anyone know where I could get replacement intake gaskets?
I suspect this might be the problem.

I replace the original inlet with a screw on gas filter.
